now/Life Lists, A Viddler episode

now/Content

I am fast approaching my 30th birthday, and I thought it would be a good time to site back and take stock of my life. What I have been able to accomplish in these 30 years, and what I have left to accomplish.

You see I have a list of things that I would like to accomplish before I shuffle loose this mortal coil, call it a “Life List”. I have been fortunate to knock a few biggies out in the past few years, but there is still a great deal left on there. Well without further ado, here is the video. Let me know what you have on your list, and what you have been able to check off.

    Emphased are accomplished.
    Bold are underway.

    1. Start a webdesign/webdevelopment company
    2. Work in the adult entertainment industry
    3. Create a political party
    4. Participate in Open Source projects
    5. Work in Alberta ($$)
    6. Buy a house and start a family
    7. Restore old cars as a hobby

I’ld say that an ungoing accomplishment is to help other people to the best of my knowledge.

Thanks for sharing your list Andrew. What, pray tell, are the views of this “political party” you are in the process of creating?

It’s not going to be a political party per say, I changed that idea. Reason for this “sudden” change is that a political party already active and known “embraced” the ideas I had brought forward on the website of the party.

It is now a movement, or a “club” within a political party. I have to create it and make it official though.

Anyways, the views, “conservative” - keep in mind I live in Quebec (as always been extreme socialists):

    - Less social programs
    - Make people more responsable for themselves
    - Pay off the debt
    - Reform the education for what it used to be, and give the teachers more power. Kids these days are seen as victims, but are ignorants and PITA.
    - Reform the justice system, why are rapists getting 12 months of jail time??
    - Reform the way judges set the senteces, how can a judge choose to give a 5 years sentece to a incest/rapist father, who sodomised his 7 years old daughter.

    Many mores..

Basicly, I am from the “right”, I work hard and I’m pissed at the fact that others exploit the government (my money) so they don’t have to work as hard to study, survive, etc..

See, never start a political discussion with me, can’t stop talking.. and I fly to Australia to go from Canada to Mexico. ;)

@Andrew da Silva: Please watch who you are calling ignorant. There are thousands of highly intelligent kids out there. In reality, its the system which is at fault by not teaching the right lessons. Still, it is your views and if you feel this is how things are, I can’t change them.

As for the government taking your money, I am a strong believe in individual wealth. Like you, I feel that those who work hard should get more than those who are lazy.

@Arthus Erea: I criticise kids from Quebec. Thing is, in Quebec, unions are huge and powerful. They are now teaching our kids (in school) to not work hard, that the union will protect them whatever happens.

Parents let their kids decide what they want for clothing, even if it costs 500$ for a t-shirt, they let them out all night if the kid want to.. they swear at their parents, do not respect them.. and the list goes on..

I do believe that it is different in other countries, even provinces. So don’t take it too personal, when I talk about politics or the way people live, it’s mainly related to Quebec citizens.
