now/WicketPixie Released
The project that I worked with Matt Brett on last month has finally hit the interwebs. It was a rawking good time to work with Matt, and I think we are both pretty proud of what we produced for Chris Pirillo.
It was fun and odd, all at the same time, to be working with WordPress again. It has been over a year since I had done anything with it really; but you know what they say about bikes and remembering how to ride them!
Go check it out, the site looks great and has some pretty cool functionality to boot.

Awesome work, Chris. Awesome.
However, I have a question.
How hard do you think it would be to fully integrate the livestreaming into the main Wordpress blog itself?
I don’t want a streaming page. I want it all in my blog itself.
I basically want to use a “genre” based approach to blog posts like Tumblr does… where images, videos, links, quotes, etc get their own “genre”. I guess in this sense “genre” would be another addition to the taxonomy as are tags and categories.
I’d want control of things… like being able to post tweets in batches of 6 at a time, say. I’m still thinking it through.
What do you think?

Indeed, I’m very proud of the work we did with WicketPixie. It was definitely a lot more of an undertaking than I initially anticipated, but the end result seems to be raising eyebrows already. The full effect won’t really come until people get their hands on the theme, but that will hopefully happen sooner than later.
Thanks again for involvement in the project, Chris. I couldn’t have done any of the cool shit that makes WicketPixie unique without you.
