For all the bad I outlined in the last post about Los Angeles and our sojourn here, there are some upsides as well.
The weather here is wonderful, if not mystifying at times. I can’t get used to the temperature change when visits Santa Monica or Malibu. It makes sense in hindsight but for some reason my hindsight is reset every night.
And speaking of Santa Monica & Malibu, that is the real perk we are enjoying. Living in Kentucky and Northern Texas we don’t really have a lot of opportunity to get to a beach without a considerable amount of driving. Now that we are in LA we can drive 20 minutes and get to beaches galore.
As you can probably imagine we do a lot of 20 minute driving on the weekends. We intend to take every opportunity we are afforded to hang out at the beach. Jakob especially is loving it as you can see in the following video.
I love how excited he is about everything. Kids++

Yeah he loves being here, and he loves being near the ocean. This past weekend we took a weekend trip to San Deigo to see the Zoo and Sea World. Great time was head by all.

Oh man, Santa Monica. I haven’t been there in years! Jakob definitely looks like he’s having a wonderful time there.
