A blast from the past, Rate It! is a plugin for WordPress that provides three core features. Firstly it allows the site owner to rate his/her own posts with one of two options:

• ❤ — For those posts that you just have to love.
• ★ — Not quite a classic, but it has that something special.

Secondly the plugin gives the site owner the option to allow visitors to vote for posts. This isn't a star rating system, it is more of a "Love it!" rating system which I find much more compelling.

Lastly the plugin provides a theme template file you can assign to a page in your WP install to show a list, sorted by popularity, of all your favorited posts.

The source code for this plugin is hosted at the WordPress site in the extend section, but until I get some issues with authentication worked out there, I am hosting the updated files here.

This plugin has been updated to work with WP 2.9.1 and later.
