If you are running Mac OS 10.4 Tiger and you notice your fonts look like doo doo, open System Preferences > Appearance and set the font smoothing to Standard - Best for CRT.

Once you have rebooted your machine you should be back in the world of Beautiful Font Rendering.

That is all, oh except for the fact that I am half way done with a little Quartz Composer diddy.  I am making one of those new fangled RSS screensavers that pulls from the WortdPress dev blog.  Right now it works fine, I just need to figure out how to get the blasted "press 1 to read the rest" stuff works.  I can already tell you that QC is going to be huge.
