This Day in History...

On this day in history, in the year 1999 Heather Ann Morgan said the words "I do" to one Christopher Jason Davis, making him quite possibly the luckiest and happiest man on the face of the planet.

It seems like a couple of weeks and not 4 years that I have been married to you.  You have been my best friend and confidant these years, and I can not say enough how much I love and cherish you.  I look forward to many more years to learn new ways to love you, and to discover again and again how truly blessed I am to have you as my wife.

I am working on adding support for photo galleries to the blog so that I can start sharing some images of my life and those in it.

The first installment will be images from last weeks (December 11th) Thursday night gathering.  I hope to eventually add more pics of Thursday night and some other parties and Liturgical functions.

Mmmmm, No more spam...

At least in comments.

I have upgraded to the bleeding edge of Wordpress, which now includes comment moderation.  So now before a comment is released on the site I must manually approve it.  While that does add to the overhead for me, at this time I am more than happy with that.

Along with comment moderation, the good codemonkeys have been hard at work streamlining and improving every facet of this CMS.

This new feature coupled with my blacklisting system I designed not to long ago, should help to keep my site free and clear.  Yeah!

New Google feature...

Well gentle readers it seems that our friendly neighborhood spider-crawler is crossing the line of decency.

There is a new feature that allows you to enter a phone number into the search bar, and if your number is listed google will return a yahoo! and mapquest map straight to your doorstep.

Here is an example: Search for 859-296-4400 this is a business by the way, so I feel no remorse for linking them here.   You will notice that the first entry has a phone icon next to it, that is the new feature.

To find out if you are affected, just hop on over and type your phone number in, using the following formatting pattern: 555-555-5555.  This has many legal ramifications, the least of which being the protection of minors from pedophiles that they meet on line.  With todays technology you could easily discover the phone number of someone you are chatting with through AOL, then feed that into google and BAM! you have thier home address.

All is not lost though, if you find that you are listed and would like to take yourself out of circulation you can click the phone icon that appears next to the search result and opt out, or you can follow this link.
